At the end of the course, the student will be able to work in the following areas:

Listening Comprehension

Understand the main ideas of a conversation using standard language on familiar topics related to work, studies and hobbies. Understand the main ideas of television or radio programmes on current affairs or topics of personal or professional interest when presented briefly and clearly.

Oral interaction

Handle common situations in which English is spoken, participating spontaneously in conversations on familiar topics of personal interest or related to everyday life (whether in the family or at work).

Reading comprehension

Understand texts which are frequently encountered in the world of work or everyday life. Understand simple newspaper articles or advertising material, letters or related notes in their area of work. In addition, describe events, feelings and wishes in personal letters or simple work-related material.

Oral expression

Connect sentences in a simple way to describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, ambitions, and share plans. Narrate a story or narrative, talk about the plot of a book, film or documentary.

Writing

Write simple texts connected to topics of family or professional interest. Write personal letters describing experiences reflecting complaints, thanks, requests, apologies, and follow-ups.
